A course intended for current and future Qur’an teachers and imams, not only for ITQAN teachers, but for all Qur’an teachers The surahs and methods will be discussed and decided the first day of class Instructor: Khadeejah Akyurt, director of ITQAN Holds an ijazah in the qira’ah of Asim for both his rawis, and is a student of the 10 Qur’aat. There will be an assessment at the beginning and at the end of the course Course Material: A printed Qur’an (not digital) A note book for documenting commentary A smile and a deep desire to learn and teach Course Grading System: This is an attendance course. Syllabus: Assessment on the first day Recite for 5 weeks. An ending assessment Course Credit Hours and Certificates: Students will receive a certificate of successful course completion. We will add 15 credit hours to their ITQAN transcripts

Recitation Course: Level 1 (Thursdays 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM) A course intended for current and future ITQAN students who can read Arabic easily but need help applying level 1 Tajweed, such as Medd, Ghunnah, Heavy and Light letters, with correct articulation points.

Recitation Course: Nuraniya (Fridays 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM) A short course intended for current and future ITQAN students who have difficulty reading Arabic

Recitation Course: Multi Level (Wednesdays 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM) A course intended for current and future ITQAN students who can read Arabic easily but need help applying level 1 Tajweed, such as Medd, Ghunnah, Heavy and Light letters, with correct articulation points.
