State councils are encouraged to “pass the hat,” this spring, especially at their conventions, to support pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes.

• Competition

Raise more money for ASAP through the “Pass the Hat Incentive” than the other jurisdictions within your division

• Incentives

The state council that raises the most money within its division will receive $1,500 for the jurisdiction’s use. Supreme will also match 25% of funds raised up to a maximum of $12,500 from Supreme for $50,000 raised.

• Local Councils

Local councils may make donations and claim ASAP participation as a life program on both their
SP7 and IL-SP7 awards form. However, they may not submit an ASAP grant application for their “pass the
hat” contributions nor will it count towards ILKofC Charities Respect Life goal.
