Help Support Cash Shaleen's Recovery
On November 10, 2024, 16-year-old National Champion downhill mountain biker Cash Shaleen was seriously injured at Glamis Sand Dunes. While working on his Can-Am, Cash was struck from behind by another driver who fled the scene. He sustained a broken femur and a spinal cord injury and was transported to Desert Regional Hospital, where surgeons stabilized his spine from T11–L2 and repaired his femur.
Cash currently has no movement or sensation below the injury, and his prognosis remains uncertain due to the incomplete spinal cord injury. A resident of Acton, CA, Cash is a rising star in downhill mountain biking and was preparing for his first full World Cup season in 2025. He now faces a long road ahead and needs continued support as he begins his recovery journey.
