Help Support Chad Saultz' Recovery
On February 22, 2025, privateer motocross athlete Chad Salutz was seriously injured while practicing at the Georgia Practice Facility. During a routine session, his chain snapped mid-jump, forcing the bike’s front end down and ejecting him into the face of the jump. Chad immediately realized he could not feel or move his legs and was airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
Doctors diagnosed a burst fracture at T7–T8, a spinal cord contusion, multiple rib fractures, and a stable C3 fracture. The injury resulted in paralysis from the belly button down. On February 23, Chad underwent a 5.5-hour spinal surgery to stabilize his spine.
Chad now faces intensive inpatient rehabilitation. He and his family are grateful for the support and remain determined as he begins his road to recovery.
