Honoring Ann's Legacy to Education
Ann Hammer earned her teaching degree from Culver-Stockton College in 1972 and began her career as an elementary teacher. After completing her master’s degree, she became principal at Canton R-V and was named Missouri’s National Distinguished Principal in 1991. After earning her Specialist Degree in Education, she served as Superintendent of Wellsville Schools. Upon retiring from administration, Ann returned to C-SC where she was an inspiration to future teachers. In 2024, she was posthumously inducted into C-SC’s Education of Excellence, and her family created this endowed scholarship in her honor.
