Help Support Mike Brown's Recovery
Mike Brown, a 53-year-old veteran motocross racer from Bristol, Tennessee, is recovering from multiple serious injuries sustained in a high-speed practice crash on June 3. During a routine session, Brown lost control after the rear tire fishtailed in a rut, ejecting him over the handlebars and causing him to land head-first. He remained conscious but was immediately taken for emergency care.
At Piedmont Newnan Hospital, doctors diagnosed a concussion, broken neck, mini stroke (TIA), and a swollen artery caused by bone trauma. Brown underwent cervical spine surgery on June 5, receiving a screw at C1 and plates at C5 and C7. He is now recovering and will transfer to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for intensive rehabilitation.
