Charleston Opera Theater is commited to bringing sustainable, year round professional opera to our great city.  With your support, we can make it happen! Opera, as an art form, portrays human emotions at their zenith…their most intense. Fear, anxiety, sorrow, joy, hope and love…things ALL humans experience. Orchestra, visceral human voices and intense emotion fuse together in an acoustic environment to create a transcendent experience for the audience.  When an audience gathers in fellowship and experiences a live performance together, it has a unifying effect on our community.
