Protect the Health of YOUR Local Forest

Scenic Rivers’ Healthy Forests Program engages community volunteers to help protect the long-term vitality of our largest conservation easement located within Bacon Ridge Natural Area.

Join us at Bacon Ridge Natural Area in Crownsville to spend a morning removing invasive vines, shrubs, and grasses from along the trails! These aggressive invaders threaten beneficial, native vegetation at all levels of the forest from the ground up into the forest canopy.

Fall 2026 Workdays

Scenic Rivers will host three public workdays this fall:

• Saturday, September 26 (10 am to 12:30 pm)
• Saturday, October 17 (10am to noon)
• Saturday, November 7 (10am to noon)

We must have at least 5 registered volunteers for the workday to proceed. Register today!
