The Ndengera Foundation of Rwanda started in 2004, in the Western Province District of Rubavu. The foundation’s objective is to enable the community to contribute to economic development (in particular the vulnerable) through income generating activities and health care. Beneficiaries include children who have dropped out of school, orphans, widows, people living with the HIV/SIDA (PLHIV) and other vulnerable youth without employment.
Thanks to our generous supporters, the Ndengera Clinic has become a cornerstone of medical care for the region. The quality of care and level of service provided here are not found anywhere else this side of Rwanda’s capital city, Kigali - 150 km away. To respond to the growing demand for quality medical service and provide more care to our neighbors, the clinic has more than doubled in size within the last year. As of this summary, we have been blessed to treat over 11,000 patients and deliver 356 babies since the expansion!
Your ongoing support will allow us to supply the Ndengera clinic and local community health center with additional beds and equipment to continue serving those in need. This will be possible through a generous donation of supplies from Project C.U.R.E., a U.S.-based nonprofit supporting the medical community, and your donation to fund the shipping container destined for Rwanda.
