Virtual Food Drive for Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

For my 27th birthday I decided I wanted to run a marathon. Little did I know how sore my muscles would be, how much time it would take, and how much I would struggle. Running sucks, and running a lot sucks. So early on in the 16 week long training program I found myself struggling during a Saturday 14 miler. Around mile 8 of 14 I began pondering how to make these miles, and all the ones to come, a bit more tolerable. After brainstorming and workshopping many ideas, some good and some bad, I concluded that raising money for those in and around the triangle of North Carolina to help with food insecurity would be a great idea. Since that run I have being thinking and expanding on this idea and how to make it the most impactful. I have convinced my running friend and colleague, Eric (hello to all of Eric's family and friends) to run countless miles and attempt to complete a COVID-19 safe and nonofficial marathon for my birthday on April 24th. This is where I ask each one of you for your help. I would love if everyone could share this link with at least one person, and if you are able to, donate $27 dollars for my 27th birthday in which we will run 27 (26.2) miles. If we reach the goal of $2700, I will run the remaining 0.8miles to complete the 27. Thank you so much for sharing the page and donating.
