About Project C.U.R.E.

Project C.U.R.E./Benevolent Healthcare Foundation was founded in 1987 to empower doctors and nurses in the developing world with the tools needed to treat disease, deliver vaccines, perform life-changing surgeries and ensure safe childbirth. Today, Project C.U.R.E. is the world’s largest distributor of medical donations to resource-limited communities across the globe, touching the lives of patients, families and children in 130 countries.

Birthday Gift Match for the Philippines

In celebration of my birthday, please consider making a donation towards shipping container(s) to five hospitals in the Philippines.

My friend, Robert Johnson, and I will be matching all donations up to $25k to pay for shipping costs. We will be traveling to the Philippines in September 2021 to personally inspect five hospitals that the container(s) will be going to. Each container costs around $25,000 in shipping costs. Containers are packed with approximately $400,000-$500,000 in donated goods. We will be making certain that hospitals receive the necessary medical supplies and equipment that best fills their needs, maximizing every dollar and donation. Follow our progress on my website www.charlesirion.com and Facebook page.

Project C.U.R.E./Benevolent Healthcare Foundation is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible in full or in part. You can donate directly through the link on this page and with credit card or check the night of the event. Checks may also be mailed to: Project C.U.R.E. Brief History of Chuck and Project C.U.R.E.

I was introduced to Project C.U.R.E. through a collaborative project with another Non-Government Organization that I was a board member with, K2 Summit Foundation. We were building a new medical clinic in Tanzania for orphans and Project C.U.R.E. was providing the medical equipment and supplies. Mike Medoro gave me a tour of the Tempe Warehouse and invited me to help fundraise, serve as an advisor and as a member of the Executive Committee. That was over 15 years ago.

I have had so many unique personal experiences in so many countries around the world these past 15 years…Meeting Emirs, religious leaders, gurus, kings and queens, presidents, prime ministers, first ladies, health ministers and even my bodyguards – have each provided me with profound different memories! One of my last medical equipment and supplies assessment was conducted in Gombe, Nigeria, where we assessed 17 hospitals.

To this day I still enjoy collaborating with sponsors locally and internationally in helping them fulfill their dreams and heartfelt wishes to bring better healthcare to programs and communities they have chosen to shepherd. Feedback from recipients in many countries I’ve worked with is that the impact is meaningful, immediate and gratifying in helping people suffer less and live longer productive lives. Being able to make this kind of impact is definitely something I want to contribute today and far into the future.

Getting Involved

Project C.U.R.E. is always looking for more volunteers. Their volunteers come from all backgrounds, including nurses, doctors, students, young professionals and retirees, among many others. From sorting donations of medical supplies and testing biomedical equipment to administrative tasks and lending professional expertise to their various department, volunteers provide valuable support to Project C.U.R.E. and they are utilized according to their strengths and interests. Our volunteers help us meet a world of need. Learn more about volunteering at the Project C.U.R.E. website https://projectcure.org/take-action/volunteer//.

At the heart of Project C.U.R.E. are people like you who are willing to get involved. Their motto, “Together we can change the world!”
