Invincible Warriors
Raising funds has never been more important. Funds for women's healthcare and NIH research have been cut while more women than ever are being diagnosed. Please join me and my team. Here's to hope!
I am so excited to be able to participate in the Beverly Levy Walk again this year. On May 4, 2025 hundreds of women and their families will be joining together to walk to raise funds for Discovery To Cure. This year its more important than ever to support research for gynecological cancers.
Over the past year I became a grandmother and began my 5th type of treatment. The first 3 I received were the same as its been for decades. The 4th was an adaptation. I am extremely lucky to be on a promising phase 1 clinical trial that made it from initial NIH research to support by pharma companies. Some of my new warrior friends have not been so lucky. Two grants in my doctor’s office alone were cancelled. My goal is to dance at baby Ida's wedding. That will take research.
Money raised from this event will be used for helping to create continued provider education, early detection programs, personalized care & cutting-edge research for cure and prevention of women’s reproductive cancers.
I am one of the lucky ones who got connected to Dr. Ratner and other top doctors through my network but without research to get to better standards of care for all women, these cancers will continue to take their toll on families and society as a whole. I am committed to doing everything I can to heal myself and by walking on the 4th, I am continuing my journey of helping others. Please join me by walking and/or donating.
with love, Karen
