$0 of $1,000

In 2025, InterPlay Pittsburgh proudly celebrates 18 years of creativity, connection, and embodied wisdom!

Who would’ve imagined that what started as a local experiment in body-wise play would blossom into a vibrant hub connecting people across the globe? Even during the challenges of the pandemic, InterPlay Pittsburgh adapted—bringing joy, healing, and connection through virtual offerings and safe, in-person gatherings in parks and community spaces.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow our reach and deepen our impact through a rich tapestry of classes, performances, and community collaborations:

Embodied Leadership with Toni McClendon, co-president of InterPlay/Body Wisdom Board of Directors
Toni has brought InterPlay to organizations like the Legacy Arts Project and Ujamaa Collective, and continues her powerful work with students at a local high school for international and refugee youth, through the Black Transformational Artist Network (BTAN). She’s also leading sessions with seniors and plans to expand to libraries and neighborhood celebrations. One of her dreams for 2025-2026: offer Secrets of Leading and the Life Practice Program specifically for BIPOC participants in the Pittsburgh region.

Friday Morning InterPlay (Live Online)
Led by Sheila K. Collins, this ongoing weekly class offers a space to process life’s ups and downs using InterPlay tools. It’s held every Friday from 10–11 a.m. ET and attended by folks as close as Pittsburgh and as far as Indonesia and Israel!

Radical Self-Care While Caring for Others
Hosted by Christine Gautreaux and Sheila K. Collins on Fridays at 11:30 a.m. ET, this online space supports caregivers and changemakers with embodied tools for resilience and well-being.

The Art of Grieving – National Reach
InterPlay Pittsburgh members have participated in five online courses on the Reimagine platform this spring, integrating performance with deep healing and reflection.
