Just over two years ago, two-week-old Wally came into Foothills Animals Shelter as a stray with his mom and sister. Their little family was found behind a Walmart, hence the name Wally. The staff at Foothills took care of the three of them, helping the puppies grow big and strong and helping their mom care for them. One afternoon, the puppies were in the office area of the shelter, and Wally slept at my feet at my desk for hours, and I was done for. Once the puppies were old enough, we adopted Wally, and his mom and sister were quickly adopted, too. Since then, Nate and I have had so much fun watching Wally grow up into such a goofy and curious dog and helping him learn to navigate the world. 

While I love to tell Wally's story, it is not unique. Every year, Foothills Animal Shelter helps thousands of animals. Some are little families like Wally's. Some are lost pets that the team at FAS works to get reunited with their families. Some are pets brought in from others states to help them find homes in the pet-loving state of Colorado. Your support helps care for these animals during their time at the shelter and helps them find their new home and family.
