Walk With KidWorks During The COVID-19 Crisis

I discovered the wonder of KidWorks when I was pregnant with Nathan 13 years ago. On my drive to the center, it broke my heart knowing that children living less than 2 miles away would not have the same opportunities he would. Kidworks has been a ray of sunshine in our community and making a REAL difference.

While COVID-19 has been devastating for all of us, this pandemic has magnified the disparities that exist for the community that KidWorks serves.   Many, who already live paycheck to paycheck, have lost jobs.  Basic necessities like paying rent and providing food for their families have become an overwhelming stressor and students are feeling the additional pressure, but KidWorks continues to be a vital source of information and support for our community. 

Please consider donating towards this amazing organization. In honor of my 40th birthday I pledge to match up to $4,000 so right now your donation will go TWICE AS FAR!

Here are a few examples of how your donation will make a measurable impact: 

• $10 = Provides one literacy kit for a student (Books, flashcards and backpack)
• $25 = Provides one health screening for a student (dental, vision, etc.)
• $37 = One week of online summer camp for a student
• $50 = Provides healthy meals and snacks for one student for an entire month
• $100 = One year of SAT Prep Classes for a student
• $250 = Provides school supplies for one student for the entire year
• $500 = Provides one literacy kit for an entire class (Books, flashcards and backpack)
