The Marvels - I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer over thirteen years ago, and feel gratitude and awe that I have survived and thrived. As always, I dedicate my walk to my childhood friend, Ellen, of blessed memory, who made me aware of the symptoms of ovarian cancer and taught me to listen to my body.
The Marvels walk to support the Peter E. Schwartz, MD Discovery to Cure program, and the necessary and extraordinary and empathetic work of the researchers and clinical staff.
Suit up, heroes—because I’m beyond thrilled to answer the call and join the legendary Beverly Levy Walk and Block Party. Thirteen years as a survivor.
On May 3, 2026, hundreds of unstoppable women and their families will assemble like a league of light, united on one powerful mission: to raise critical funds for the Peter E. Schwartz, Discovery to Cure program.
Together, we’ll ignite the sky like a constellation of courage, standing fearless in the face of women’s reproductive cancers. Every dollar raised becomes supercharged energy fueling:
⚡ Advanced provider education—arming our medical heroes with next-level knowledge
⚡ Early detection strategies—our most powerful shield
⚡ Personalized care—compassion tailored to every warrior’s journey
⚡ Breakthrough research—relentlessly battling until victory is ours
This is more than a walk—it’s a movement. A mission. A heroic stand for hope.
Join the league. Step into your power.
And together, we will conquer.

"Ellen, of blessed memory," was my wife. She passed away ten years ago this month. I'm so happy to hear that you're doing well, Judy, keep up the good work!
