You Can Help Us Fundraise for Promise Haven!
Due to COVID 19, more families are expected to experience homelessness than ever before. Most churches can no longer help homeless families by offering them a place to stay for the night. At any one time, nearly 2000 of Gwinnett County Schools' students are homeless. To help homeless families in our community, Family Promise must acquire permanent facilities to provide emergency shelter for families in need.
Promise Haven is a large home in Lawrenceville being renovated to house two to four families experiencing homelessness. These families will participate in a 30 to 90 day Hospitality Program designed to help them become self-sufficient. We use qualified volunteers to teach life skills benefitting them for years in the future.
The Promise Haven Home has not been used for several years and is in disrepair. It will need extensive renovations to meet safety and government requirements. Renovations in our first phase are expected to cost $250,000. We desperately need your help to make this dream a reality.
