BREAKING NEWS:  INITIAL GOAL BLOWN PAST...Totals at more then $80k...racing toward...$100K?!?!?

Wow, incredible - thanks to your generosity!  We have left that $75,000 goal in the rearview mirror and are past $80k and rising.  So, given the need with COVID-19 and clearly your passion for Food Banks and Feeding the Carolinas, we have a new goal in mind...

$100,000

Help us crush this goal, and help us provide much needed funds to our Food Banks!

Regards,
Mike Darrow
Executive Director, Feeding the Carolinas

Feeding the Carolinas Legal Feeding Frenzy 2020

Office of the Attorney General, The Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Foundation, and Feeding The Carolinas have joined efforts to create the North Carolina Legal Feeding Frenzy—a food and fund drive competition among all North Carolina law firms, law schools, and organizations to assist Feeding The Carolinas’ Food Banks.

NC Legal Feeding Frenzy is an annual joint program of the NCBA Young Lawyers Division and Feeding the Carolinas food banks. It aims to fight hunger across North Carolina by uniting the legal community in support of local food banks.

In this friendly competition, the law firm, school, or organization that raises the most food (based on a per person average—attorneys and staff) will be awarded the prestigious and highly coveted “Attorney General’s Cup.” In addition, Attorney General Josh Stein will present additional awards in categories including: Sole Practitioner, Small Firm, Medium Firm, Large Firm, Law School, Public Interest, and Corporate/In-House Counsel. Government/public interest offices and corporate legal departments are encouraged to participate as well and will be grouped into the categories listed above based on size.

To participate, search for your firm/office location in the upper right-hand corner (or in the 'leaderboard' scroll to the side).  Select that fundraising team, and then make your donation from their page.

Don't see your firm?  Contact Mike at [email protected] and we will help you setup your page.

As an AmeriCorps VISTA, my worksite was at the Food Bank here in Raleigh. During the hurricanes and the government shutdown (and on a daily basis, really), I observed just how much work and dedication goes into feeding our community – and how much more work there is to be done. Thank you for working tirelessly to provide vital support to our most vulnerable community members, and for expanding your work on nutrition, benefits outreach, policy, advocacy and other factors to address hunger from all sides. We are all each other’s business.
