Lift Up My Little

Ignite potential and help me LIFT UP MY LITTLE! I am participating in the 1st Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters "Lift Up My Little" campaign to raise funds and empower potential across our community.

Za'Larry and I have been matched for over a year. When I signed up for this program I wanted to be matched with someone who is energetic and adventurous. When I met Z she was so excited and open to the experience, I knew right then we would develop an amazing relationship. She is one of six siblings and so she loves being able to spend the one on one time to grow as an individual.

We have done a range of activies from reading and doing homework at the library to playing video games at Dave & Busters, we've also had opportunities to participate in a variety of BBBS sponsored events. The donations gathered in this fundraiser will enable other littles and bigs to experience awesome opportunies to learn, engage, bond and have fun.

I love being able to impart knowledge and promote good behaviors for her. She has also been able to make me grow as an individual through my mentorship. She's a rockstar!

Your gift enables one-to-one mentoring to be a free, safe, and effective resource for families and children with potential to be paired with an adult mentor to stand in their corner. Even more, when you fund a match, you propel a life-changing ripple effect for the surrounding family members and the generations that follow. Young people with a mentor are more likely to graduate, become leader in their community, avoid incarceration, and volunteer. Best part: if my Little and I are one of the top 4 fundraisers, my Little with have the opportunity to climb aboard a helicopter and soar over the city!
