When you donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters, you empower potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters has provided me an opportunity to invest in the future of our youth.

This is my second year to participate with the Mentor 2.0 program. I am mentoring, Da'Shawn, a high school junior excelling in academics and well rounded in extra curricular activities. He has aspirations to attend the University of Houston after graduating in 2020, with an end goal of becoming a CPA.

Your gift enables one-to-one mentoring to be a free, safe, and effective resource for families and children with potential to be paired with an adult mentor to stand in their corner. Even more, when you fund a match, you propel a life-changing ripple effect for the surrounding family members and the generations that follow. Young people with a mentor are more likely to graduate, become leader in their community, avoid incarceration, and volunteer. Best part: if my Little and I are one of the top 4 fundraisers, my Little with have the opportunity to climb aboard a helicopter and soar over the city!
